What Do We Desire To BE?

I was shown a post the other day by a friend. It was in regard to actually making goals happen.

The author said that it is not enough to try to change. First, you have to truly know what you want to BE.

This resonated with me at a new depth. If I want to make changes, I need the momentum of knowing exactly what I want in life and that will help me find true success.

I couldn’t help but continue to ponder… What do I truly want to be?

Do I want to be thin?? No, actually… that is not what I want to BE.

Do I want to be a size 6? No… again…

Do I want to be smaller??? Well, to that I would say a resounding no. Smaller is what I make myself when I am afraid to live.

I have been trying to achieve goals that really of are no value to me.

So, what do I truly want to BE?

I want to BE:

HEALTHY STRONG ACTIVE

A PERSON WHO GOES HOME AT THE END OF A LONG DAY AND STILL WANTS TO PLAY

A PERSON WHO FINDS MY PASSIONS AND THEN ACTUALLY GIVES MYSELF PERMISSION TO CHASE THEM EACH DAY

FILLED WITH NOT JUST GRATITUDE BUT ACTUAL JOY!

A MOM THAT IS REMEMBERED FOR HER LOVE

A FRIEND WHO IS REMEMBERED FOR HER KINDNESS

A PART OF THE COMMUNITY, REMEMBERED FOR HER GENEROSITY

AN AUTHOR THAT SPEAKS TO THE HEARTS AND SOULS OF HER READERS

A PERSON WHO CAN SIT WITH HERSELF AND TRULY LOVE THE COMPANY

Do you know what is incredible about each heartfelt yearning on this list? They are all aspirations that can expand until the day I die, leaving nothing but wide-open momentum to carry me forward.

So, what do you want to BE?
